Taxidermy

We take great pride in the trophies that our clients take each year. It is therefore essential that you use a good taxidermy. It is the client's responsibility to tell us which taxidermy he wants to use.

At the moment we have a very good working relationship with 3 taxidermy studios in South Africa. At the client's request we will take him to any of these taxidermists. Should the client decide to have his trophies mounted back home any of these taxidermists will handle the dip and ship.

In general it is cheaper to do the mounting of the trophies in South Africa. Once the work is done an Intrepid representative will go and inspect the work and then it is off to the shipping company. There is two ways to ship trophies, airfreight - which is the fastest and also more expensive or by ship.

You will get a quotation from the shipping company when they receive your crate. In most cases it is not necessary for the client to put down a deposit on the work if they use one of our taxidermists. The client can expect to have mounted trophies back home between 12 and 16 months after completion of the hunt. Dip and pack trophies normally takes between 4 and 6 months.
